Okay i got attacked yest what should i do?

okay so im walking my 6mo old APBT and was walkin by this house whos screen door was open and there dog jumped up opened the door and attacked my dog i jumped inbetween and was able to scoop my pup up b4 she was seriously injured but now im standing there with a puppy in my hand and this dog is jumping up biting my shirt and arms now im pretty quik and didnt really have any skin break and the owner came out and was trying to grab the dog by it collar and the thing kept attacking me till she jumped on it and told me to get outta here. Now i have 3 dogs and the one is very protective and i dont doubt he would go after someone like this so i would not call the cops and be a jerk my dog wasnt bleeding and neither was i but this lady didnt say sorry or anything should i just be a jerk bc i mean im not like that i would never want someone to report one of my dogs if it wasnt a serious thing but if he was doing that to someone i woulda at least said sorry and tried to seem sorry this lady seemed ticked off and told me to get outta her wtf ........ what would you do
