Ten points. Bonsai Plant Question?

I've been growing a little bonsai tree for a while, and I'm not neglecting it, I'm watering it daily to keep the soil moist. Near the soil, there are little stems coming alongside the plants, and they've wilted. They were fine a few days ago. Would my plant be dying or is this natural?
