Cold water to where? If you are getting cold water to the kitchen then your mains water coming in from the street is fine. This mains water goes to all cold taps in the house because you have a combi. Also the mains water goes to the boiler and from the boiler you have hot which is the mains water flowing through the boiler getting heated and out to all hot taps.
