Formatted my computer and now my computer will not burn dvds?

I formatted my hard drive and reinstalled everything. Everything seems to be running fine except when I try to make a backup/burn a DVD. I have an ATAPI DVD A dh16a6s ya16(SCSI) burner. I am using DVD FAB. It is the same program i used in the past before i wiped it clean and everything worked fine before. When i install the dvd it copies it completely. Then it spits it out and tells me to put in a blank dvd. When i do the computer freezes or the program stops running. please help.
