HCL makes a covalent bond & covalent bond does not dissolves in water then why it gets dissolved in water?

First of all it is not HCL but it is HCl. And also it is not a covalent compound, but it is electrovalent compound where two ions are formed H+ and Cl -. It is a strong acid commonly known hydrochloric acid.
